Making a Dream Poster

Yesterday, we talked about setting short-term goals.  Our short-term goals are stepping stones to our long-term goals.  To best do this you should have something that shows what your long term goals are that you see every single day.

You'll need:  Posterboard, glue, markers, magazines and/or a printer.
  1. Make a list of all the answers to your dream questions from yesterday.  If there are dreams that aren't covered, add them to your list.
  2. Find a picture to represent each item.  If it's a specific car, find an ad for it or go to the manufacturer's website and choose your perfect colour.  If you want to buy a house, find a house in local Realtor magazines that you love.  For a vacation, pick pictures of local landmarks.  If you want to start a family, find a pregnant belly, a crib, etc.  It doesn't matter if anyone else understands it, the picture should represent the idea to you.
  3. Cut out the pictures from your magazines or from print outs.  Glue them on your poster board.  They don't have to be laid out perfectly or in any particular order.  You put it on any way that makes you happy.
  4. Use the markers to add notes, quotes, and hand-drawn pictures to finish off your poster.
  5. Hang your poster where you'll see it at least twice a day.  Spend 5 to 10 minutes just looking at the pictures and imaging the life you dreamt of when you made it.  Use it as inspiration to move toward your goals.
Homework:  Make your dream poster, and take a picture of it.  Post a picture on our team page!  Due by end of month.
